"I came in the summer of 2006 to the U.K., hoping to qualify for a King's Scholarship to Eton in one year, and with hardly any knowledge of French. I was told that learning French to a suitable standard in one year would be highly ambitious, and yet I put my full faith in my teacher. She gave me very well constructed lessons beginning from the very basics of the language, moving on quite rapidly to higher and higher levels. In that one year I reached the required standard, if not beyond it, and it is needless to say that my French played a large part in my receiving the top scholarship of the year."
